Poletown East lies north of Eastern Market and was largely cleared in the 1980s for the GM Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant (now Factory ZERO). What remains is a mix of historic churches, Hamtramck-adjacent blocks, and a re-emerging industrial corridor.
